Dear Mary,
Mary I am soooooo sorry but, you miss the mark on this one. First off you are good for 2 maybe 3 fast tracks on one Cd but, you need to stick with the gut wrenching slow cuts that your #1 fan (Totally Tania) is use to. Why do you have 5 fast tracks and 3 mid-tempo's on a 12 track Cd?
I will give you credit because your first single "The One" was my ring tone for a long time. I love that song not much of a fan of the remix with Drake but I will deal with it. Then, you drop the second single "I am" nice song and it has a grown folk feel but just didn't feel like Mary to me. Don't get me wrong I don't want you to be drunk and high Mary but, damn you could at least be "Be without you" Mary.
Review...
Check out "Good Love" featuring T.I. and "I Feel Good" (Track 4 and 5 if you have the bootleg copy) LMAO! She ends the Cd with 4 slow songs one of which that features Trey Songz or as I call him (Fake ass R. Kelly) it is an OK cut that will do well on the radio. "Kitchen" is a funny cut "In The Morning is classic Mary and real fans will feel this one. The last rack "I Can See In Color" is a throw back to the Aretha's and Etta's of the world.
Back to my letter...
Overall Mary I give your Cd bootleg status. Real fan's will buy it and make copies for other people so those folks can have a complete Mary collection. Hit me with a few remixes in 2010 and I will re-review the Cd.

First of all I want you all the know that “The Future” Mr. Jordan Rowell is playing basketball and killing them boys with his mean cross over and fast breaks. As a loud mother I can’t help but to scream “Dunk, Dunk” every time he goes charging the basket. We are working on those free throws but he is killing the court.
My week end was full of basket ball games, eating out, and movies. Now for the moment you all have been waiting on.
Cell phone off it is Movie time…
After a long day of basketball games Jordan and I decided to go catch a movie. We were racing to the theatre because we wanted to catch Avatar in 3-D. We whisked pass the other movie goers and went straight for our back row sits. Mainly because I just can’t see anymore and 3-D kills my visions but I love it.
We made it just in time for the previews (we love previews). No popcorn no soda because we were hitting up the Portillo’s afterwards. Wow, is all I could say. They went big with this one. Even the previews were in 3-D so save those glasses that they charge you for when you go see a movie in 3-D. Yes, they charged me $3 extra just because it was in 3-D (they bogus as hell for that one)! The movie was amazing; it was like chocolate cake for the eyeballs. If you are a Sci-fi geek or a gushy love story person this is the movie for you. Now I must warn you this movie is Titanic/Benjamin Button long. Yes, if you need to waste 3 hours go see it. If you love from another planet type films go see it. If you love the damn smurfs go see it because this flick is all about the blue people.
Lastly, if you think this movie is about the little dude with the arrow on his head you are going to be disappointed. He is no where to be found in this movie. I was about 1 hour 20 minutes into this film before I turned to ask Jordan where is the dude with the arrow on his head. He laughed and said momma that is a different movie.
I give this movie a matinee status so catch it first thing in the morning because once again it is long. It is a must see at the show in 3-D or IMAX because the bootleg copy will not do it justice.

Do you remember back in the day when it got cold and you would go coat shopping with your Momma and the coats were always heavy as hell. What happen to those coats? They are selling the cheapest, thinnest coats ever in these stores today. Why? Global warming has not hit Chicago it is cold as ever in the CHI and believe me Jordan needs an old school heavy coat.
The Princess and the Frog
I recently went to the movies to see The Princess and the Frog. Before I clown the hell out of this movie I want to go on record saying "nice try Disney." OK, the lighting bug/fire fly stole the damn show. Dude was funny as hell but full of stereo types. This is suppose to be the first Black Princess movie and she was only a black princess for the last 5 minutes of the damn movie. She was a frog longer than she was a person. The sing was amazing but, I think they had maybe one to many songs. The movie actually could freak out a small child because of all the damn voodoo magic so before you take your little princess prepare for a squeeze or two. I give this movie a 3 out of 5 because of the damn lighting bug/fire fly. I want to believe in love like him.

OK y'all this is my new jam. Whitney your Cd is garbage but this is the jam. I think she went a little to spiritual for me so it was hard to give it a chance but Doug Banks and De-De would not stop playing this damn song so it grew on me. I am hooked and I want to give Alicia Keys props for this one. You should have kept it for you own album which I heard was hot garbage.
What is up with these artist dropping entire Cd's knowing they should be dropping a single instead. Mary J. show them how it's done. She drops December 22, 2009. No need to run out and buy it for me as a stockin stuffer. I will have it by noon on 12/22.

Where have I been?
I first would like to apologize to all of my true fans. I have been through some terrible work weeks, a much needed vacation, a return to work week from hell and TODAY! Some of you have asked what's going on with Totally Tania and I promise to tell you all about it.
The Coat...
Yes, I did cave-in and I finally bought my son a coat that fits. It is a very nice coat and we both agreed on it instantly. I also beat the snow and found him some great North face boots size 12 yes I said 12. I promise to take picture of the new coat to post on the site soon. I did take back the too little ass coat he bought from Target. I had no receipt and of course he had popped the tags so I only got store credit. Don't tell him but I bought some laundry detergent and other household items with that $20 bucks.
The Birthday...
Yes I had a Birthday November 28th and I have officially stop aging. This was my last birthday and I am going to love 34 for another 10 years at least. The adventure on my birthday was not that Grambling State put the beat down on Southern 31-13, it wasn't even the skate party I had (no one was hurt) but, it was renewing my license. That morning I got up early and went to the DMV; why they tell me I had to take the written test. You could imagine my shock. The funny thing is that my ass almost failed the test. You are only allowed 7 errors and I had 6 LMAO! I need my license so I let out a big "Thank ya Jesus" right in the middle of the DMV.
I just want to put it out there that I recently saw New Moon. You know the vampire/twilight flick that all the kids are crazy about. I want to go on record as saying I am on Team Jacob. That boy is beyond sexy. He is a werewolf but he can get it OooooooWeeeeee. Edward that vampire dude is pasty grey and skinny I don’t know what people see in him. Let me know who you rolling with.

That Melanie Fiona that I waited on most of summer is straight garbage. The hottest tracks have already been released so don't do it. It ain't even worth the blank. However my boy Mr. Robert Kelly has done it again. That boy is a genius and ya'll sleep if you ain't got that new CD. I play all 15 tracks no skips. That is a nice stocking stuffer so get on it. I am waiting to here Chris Brown CD I will keep you posted. Don't forget my girl Mary J. Blige drops on December 22 but I am sure I will have it early and my reviews will be positive.

I got him sowed up for Christmas so my message to ya'll is please don't put yourself in credit card debt trying buy for folks. Ain't nobody got no damn money so just say I love you and give hugs, pictures, mix Cd's you know shit you can make or give for free. I will chat with you before the holiday but for know two fingers!

Prayer Works...
Let’s do my weekend in reverse.
(Monday Morning)
I came in to work this morning and walked into $250 bucks. Yes I said $250 bucks. I won the football pool (2 quarters). You will never understand how much I needed that money.
(Sunday Night)
Last night before I laid my head to rest I picked up my bible and read Matthew 7:7 (twice) and then I said a short prayer basically for personally growth and God heard that prayer and delivered hence the $250 that I didn’t even realize I had won.
(Sunday Afternoon)
The weather could not have been better on a November day in Chicago. My son “The Future” played in his second play-off game for the Lombard Falcons and he played very well both sides of the ball. They lost but they had a great season. Any time you make the post season is a great season. We celebrated with sloppy joe’s and a nap. We ended the afternoon watching Norbit. Why ya’ll didn’t tell me that movie was funny as hell. I saw it a long time ago but the revisit had me on the floor. Classic line “I’ll show you how a bitch go down a slide.” LMAO!
(Saturday)
I woke up with Precious on the mind. I picked up my girl Tasha Hope and we hit up Golden Nugget for breakfast. I had not had Golden Nugget since a late night on my way home from Cliff Livington’s Rivera night club in 1993. Why did we have to drive clear across the city to go see it I will never know (they bogus for that limited release shit). Any who the movie was amazing but, let me tell you about the previews we saw. They showed about 10 damn previews and only ONE actually matched the film we were there to see. Did you know Tyler Perry was making a “Why did I get Married too? I didn’t but it looks good. Now back to the movie… Precious was very well done Monique should get a standing O for her performance. Someone somewhere is living that story and it is very sad. Later that day my son lost his mind and I found myself standing over him ready to do the “Black Momma” and drop a T.V. on his ass but, I stop because I don’t want to be in Precious Part 2 “A boy’s tale”.

This weekend I plan to see the movie Precious. Plan is the key word. I checked for listing of where to go see the flick and to my surprise it is not playing in very many places. I must admit I did not read the book so this will be a new experience for me. I have read as many of the spoilers as I could and now I am beyond excited about going to see Precious.

The Music in Me…
Music is the sound track to our lives. This is a proven fact no matter your race, age, sex, or size you have a favorites song and you remember where you were when you heard it for the first time. No matter what; you have that one song that you will sing or dance to regardless of who you are around. For me Janet Jackson’s Control will make me break into a solo dance performance you will never forget. I was 11 years old entering 6 grade and man could I move. I remember watching her on the American Music awards (I taped it of course) and learned every step. I must have watched that damn VHS tape a million times. Here I am 22 years later and I can still remember the way I felt when she hit the stage.
Like I said the music in me is alive and my theme song right now is Jay-Z “Already Home” just listen to the hook:

THIS IS IT
I entered the theater with my 11 year old son and mother. We were all very excited as could be to see Michael Jackson's last performance. We originally had 8 pm tickets but we got to the show at 7 pm to beat the crowd. I must admit I was amazed that there was no line and the show was only 1/2 sold so we slide into the 7 pm show. The screen fades to black and a short summary about the MJ starts. The theater is completely quiet because like a fool I bought tickets in my neighbor where people are polite and courtesy.
Michael pops up on the stage and the music to "Wanna be starting something" begins to play. I instantly went into Totally Tania mode (whoop, whoop). The concert was funny, exciting, breath taking, and very entertaining. Mike commanded the stage even in rehearsals. He was forceful with his direction but boy could you tell when he was feeling it. I don't want to mess the movie up for anyone but the Man turned "Billie Jean", "Human Nature", "Thriller", and all of the Jackson 5 songs OUT! There was a moment when he song "got to be there" and my momma felt it. She started singing and swaying but nothing was better then my son singing "Earth Song" and "The way she making me feel".
My favorite part is split between MJ singing and dancing to "Smooth Criminal" him letting loose on "Beat It" and of course my all time favorite "Billie Jean." It was just that good. As well all know this concert will never be seen the way MJ visioned it but boy was his rehearsals amazing. He was a true entertainer and a man of music. If you are a fan this is a must see. If you didn't think MJ still had it this is a must see. I give this film 5 Thriller Jackets and a Beat It glove.

24 Hours
If you sleep 8 hours a day and work 10-12 hours per day including lunch and travel to and from work what do you do with the left over 4-6 hours of your day? My so called extra time is used cooking breakfast, dinner and watching a bunch of television. However I seem to always have time to get on Face book and update my status. I have said all of this to say I don’t get 8 hours of sleep EVER! I am just too nosey to sleep. I got to know what is going on with everything. Don’t laugh because many of you are the same way.
Soon we will all be driving home in the dark because time is falling back. Make sure you change your clocks and I mean all of them. If I get in your damn car in January and you still on September time I am going to have something to say. LMAO! I hate that. While I am speaking of car clocks why do we have our clocks in the car or on the microwave at the crib set at least 5 mins fast? Some of ya’ll ridiculous and have they set 15 mins fast. Once you do that you automatically lose that time because you know you have it. I must admit I do to.

Just got paid
Real Housewives of Atlanta Finale is tonight. Very Sherri I will be over for this one. The other big event in my life is Michael Jackson “This is it” movie. I was thinking about taking off work just to see it. Everyone that knows me personally knows that Me and Mike go way back. October 28, 2009 is the official release date but, you know pookie at the barber shop will have it October 24, 2009. I am really thinking about going to an advance showing to see it at Midnight 10/27.
I was chatting with my sister-in-law earlier on Facebook and she sent me a link of Johnny Kemp’s “Just got paid” that was a jam back in the day. I still jam to the song when I hear it. As a matter of fact I am going to download that song tonight. It would be great if Chris Brown remade this with the auto-tune in the back. Whoa! That would get any party started. President Obama should pass a law the every employer has to play this song on payday to just start the economy to get people to spend some money. What other song do you think could be remade and hit the charts hard? That song reminds me of my auntie begging me to teach her to latest dances before she hit the club. Wow the memories.
Lastly, I heard that the recession is off! No the hell it ain’t! I am just really starting to fill the pain.

I was talking to a really good friend yesterday and he asked me if I ever had to hit the reset button. Of course I have and many of you have also. My way of hitting the button is taking a walk; just getting up from my desk and taking a walk maybe even engaging in some mindless conversation and then I return ready to finish my task. Some of you may take a smoke break, a potty break, or just sit and day dream. What ever you do make the most out of your reset and put a Thank you Jesus on the end of it.
I woke up this morning ready to sing. I can’t sing but wow am I ready to take center stage and give a show. My momma says that only happy people sing and she is right. The last few days have been hard but today I am singing. I can sing because I was able to get some things off my mind and chest and now I can rest. If you stand up for yourself you will fall for nothing. I had to have both of my parents give a “you a champ” speech to make me realize that I was not raised to walk with my tail between my legs and surrender defeat. I am a strong person by blood-line so act like it. Yes, my mom and dad gave me the same advice so I had to take it because that doesn’t happen often. WTH
What is that last CD that you actually went to the store and bought? I download everything and I mean everything maybe because I can’t make a move without my Ipod like so many others in this world. When is the last time you developed some film? What! It has been years with picture phone, scanning, and emails I never print pictures any more. I might transfer them to my phone or Ipod but actually take film to Walgreen’s and develop it; nope not your girl. What else has become obsolete in this new world of technology? I was at a Bull’s game last night on Face Book which is crazy because I had great seats. Then I looked around and noticed that half the building were using some type of device. The lady a few rows up was actually playing a video game. Another thing can anyone tell me why the concession at sporting events cost some much? I bought a $5 soda last night that I had to share with my son and it was not even in a souvenir cup. What is up with that?
The Adventure…
My son and I went looking for a winter coat for him recently and he surprised me. He did not want an expensive coat he just wanted a coat that fit. We went the Burlington Coat Factory of course and searched the aisles. Every coat I picked up had a name on it like I am really a label head and every coat he picked up was simple. I finally gave up looking for a designer coat that he could actually fit and I just let him search. We didn’t find a thing. Our next trip was to one of my favorite stores Target. He ran in ahead of me like he normally does and he found a coat that fit. I want to apologize to everyone that I may offend ahead of time on how I describe this coat. This coat looks like something that a retarded child that rides the short bus with blind parents would wear. It is puffy with a hood and two tones in grey and bright ass red. The kicker is it cost $20 and it looks like it cost $20. Money is tight but damn I don’t want my child to look thrown away. He bought it with his own money and not even 2 weeks later he is shame to wear it. It is cold as hell and he will put on a white –t, long sleeve shirt, wind breaker and a hoodie before he wears this coat. Now, my question is do I buy him a new coat or make his ass wear this bogus as coat until Christmas? You get what you pay for.
Lastly, I am dead in the middle of the day from hell part 2 and I want to thank you all for the prayers. My medical situation is a little worst than I originally thought so keep the prayers coming. I am more than a warrior I am a conquer.

Day from Hell
If I could run away I mean really just pack up my shit and leave where would I go? Don't laugh but, I think about this often. Sometime I end up on beach in China and other times I am on a ship in Alaska crazy right? I know I ain't the only person in the world that has thought about just disappearing. Where would you go?
Are you living the life you thought you would be living at this point in your life? I hate to get this deep on y'all but that is where I am right now. No, I am no where close to my dreams right now. The good part is that I do have that life plan and I am putting it to work so I know that I will have the life that I want soon.
Food...
Last night I went to one of my favorite restaurants and I did not get my favorite dish. I actually recommended my usual to my dinner guest and they loved it. Yes, I am talking about the Cheesecake Factories Meatloaf LOL! It is just fabolous!(I know I spelled it wrong)Now I thought it couldn't get any better until I tasted my catfish. They rolled that catfish in some kind of nuts and it was full of flavor. I am getting hungry again right now just thinking about it. I strongly suggest either of these dishes on your next trip to the Cheesecake Factory. No dessert this time but the strawberry lemonade was fire! slow people (fire) means it was great. LMAO!
Lastly, today was the day from hell everything the went wrong did. I lost shit that was right in front of me (just like you told me Sir Harris) and to top it all off my dog was sick when I got home. I truly burned all of the oil I had in my lamp on this one day. Now I lay me down sleep and if I wake I will press on. Totally Tania is Totally tired and I realize it can not rain forever. Questions? I've got them.
How long can you wait? Do you have a 90-day rule? I recently had a conversation with my cousins and this was some real talk. The answer to this question at my age it that I am grown and if I feel it I feel it. Does that make me easy? Does waiting 90 days make you a tease? Feel free to chime in with your opinions about this topic. For the slow people that are reading this I am talking about the 90 day wait rule for sex that a lot of women are holding onto.
Do you believe in divorce? Could you work it out if your spouse cheated on you? Could you really take him or her back and not hold this over there head for years to come? What is the deal breaker for a marriage? I know I got a lot of questions but I am curious. Do you even know what cheating means? For instance to your partner cheating could be flirting but to you it is just flirting. A simple kiss is it cheating? A hug that is held to long or to tight is that cheating? You tell me.

Life Plan
Do you have a Life Plan? Do you have a Blue Print to your life? The last four days I have been suffering from a nasty cold. Thursday and Friday were pretty bad but, once I took that Theraflu I was feeling much better. FYI Theraflu is a wonderful drug. Now getting back to the topic you need to get a Life Plan or Blue Print if you don’t have one. This is not an overnight process so don’t run out and write down all of these things to do. This is not a bucket list this is planning out your future and how you plan to get there. If it requires you to get more education apply for schools or at least do some research. If it requires patience get you some religion quick, fast and in a hurry. On my first day of writing my blog I wrote for all of you to fall in love this season and I hope that is going as well for you as it as for me. I am soooooooooo in love with me. My advice is for you to get a group of friends together with a bunch of old magazines and create Dream Boards. I saw this done on Oprah a few years ago and it sparked my interest so now I am taking it serious and I may just have my own Dream Board Party.

Are you watching the new show on Lifetime called “Sherri”? It stars that chick from “The View.” I actually love this show. She is a newly divorced mom of one learning how to live life again. I am sure many of you can relate on some level to her life I sure do. It is smart, funny, but real. Unlike some of the shows that came out this fall season. She has her best friend and cool co-worker along with a weird boss lady to round out the show. He father is played by Uncle Phil from “The Fresh Prince” and man is he looking old. That cheating ex-husband of hers is played by my pre-teen boyfriend Theo from “The Cosby Show.” If you are not already watching this show check it out Premiere week was last week.
At the movies…
I went to see “Couples Retreat” and you all know I have been waiting to see this flick. All of the professional reviewers gave this movie horrible marks and they were so right. This movie took forever to get going and all the funny parts were on the previews so don’t waste your time. Vince Vaughn not only starred in this film but he help write and produce this flick. Vince, I am soooooooo disappointed. You are a hometown favorite of mine that did not deliver. His last few movies have been horrible. The gentle giant may have lost his mojo. My next movie outing will be the new Jamie Foxx thriller “Law Abiding Citizen that starts October 16th. I will review it soon.
Lastly, I have not been able to post due to being under the weather and I apologize to those of you that read my blog often. I hope you can understand that Totally Tania is a trooper but my sinuses are in bad shape and rest is what I needed. I am back in business and this week I hope to bring you a few great items to read.

Let's Talk about the weather...
Ok did you catch the Chicago news last night? The weather man predicted snow! Yes, snow in October. I have got to get the hell out of Chicago. What is going on with this weather? Colorado got a bunch of snow and I feel so sorry for my Atlanta folks because ya’ll have had so much rain lately that I know the beautician are going broke because, black women do not play with rain and a fresh hair-do. It is time to braid it up.
My Theory…
You know they have a movie coming out called 2012 which is about the world coming to an end. We all know the scripture in Revelations about not knowing which season you are in when the world is nearing its end. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen get your house in order because I think the end is upon us. Don’t laugh just think about it. We did not have a summer then we got a week of HOT in September. Now not even a month later they are predicting snow.
On another note why do all of a sudden I have allergies and sinus issues. I am 33 years old and damn sometimes I can’t breathe. I promise you it is something in the air, food, and water (which I don’t drink). Are you having these issues? Something is up because even my dog has problems breathing sometimes.
Lastly, I encourage you all to do a little people watching as we go into the weekend. I people watch everywhere I go; the doctor office, Target, my son’s school but I must admit people watching at work is by far the best. As I was sitting at my desk the other day a man appeared in front of my office with his back to me and he was have a conversation with other employees. I didn’t think anything of it because it happens all the time. However on this particular day this man reached in to the crack of his ass and dug out his underwear. You know I went there. I hit the floor crying laughing. Another thing I have noticed it that not many people wash there hands properly when they leave the rest room what is up with turning on the water and dancing your fingers in it with (no soap) for 2 seconds and walking your nasty ass off. Huh? Are you serious? So, I encourage you to people watch to get your laugh on and so you will know whose hands not to shake in meetings.

Disgusted!
Is it just me or is everyone around you disgusted? It seems that for some reason people are just fed up. The dictionary defines disgusted as extreme dislike or revulsion. Damn, revulsion WOW! That is a big word but, hey that is what’s going on around me.
The world as a whole is dealing with financial problems and then you throw in this damn H1N1 mess we got a real problem. So not only am I broke as hell but I am sick too. Lately has it been hard to get up? Well you are not alone. Day after day I here people talking about I hate this and I hate that and on some level I agree because I am disgusted as well but, we have to press on. If you woke up this morning you have something to be thankful for. You may be fighting an illness. You might be broke as hell. Your kids are probably acting a fool. Your spouse has lost his/her mind and if one more person asks you for money you will probably scream but remember you woke up. Someone had these same feelings you are having on yesterday; they were full of disgust and late on every bill with unbelievable problems but they didn’t wake up this morning. I have said all of this to encourage you to have HOPE, FAITH, and some DETERMINATION to change your disgust or revulsion into TRIUMPH.
Race Relations…
Yesterday I had a conversation with a dear friend of another race and together we concluded that we do the same shit but called it different names. This conversation started because we were talking about UNO. Yes the card game. She mentioned that they play UNO but they play compounding. This lead me to dig a little deeper and I realized she was talking about what I so belovingly call STACKS. So no one plays UNO the way it was meant to be played ain’t that some shit. LOL! Big up’s to my girl All out Amber for hipping me to compounding. Just think we could end racial tension with a simple game of UNO. Obama call me; I got ideas.
How do you feel about this H1N1 shot? I think they are creating some I am Legend type shit but that is just me. I ain’t getting it and my son ain’t either. I got my regular flu shot and I better not get sick. Are they just scaring the hell out of us or is this real. Do you personally know anyone that has had the H1N1? What are your thoughts?

As I have told you all I love Gossip Girl. That is my show. Check it out Monday’s on the CW at 8 pm central time. It is getting good because Blair or “The Bitch” is back. Now I want to know how many of ya’ll stayed up or changed your regular 10 o’clock plans to watch The Mo’Nique show. I did and boy was I upset. She was loud as hell. Chick this is not an awards show this a late night talk TV not scream TV. Interview the damn people and keep it moving. Her first guest was Steve “MF” Harvey. If he doesn’t stop pushing that damn book I am going to scream. Act like a Lady think like a Man dude, you need to write a book called “Men raise your children show them some love even if you ain’t got no money.” Know that is some shit I can get behind. She also had my girl Monica on the show hyping up her new reality show that I will be watching October 27 on BET. Monica was looking a little thick and Mo’Nique told her she was glowing. Is this chick pregnant again? I can’t believe I miss the news watching this shit. LOL! I will give her a second viewing because I love Mo’Nique and I wish her the best and much success but, she needs to calm her ass down. She was worst then Jaime Foxx hosting the award show. Just loud for No damn reason.
So that was my evening besides the retail therapy that I got shopping at my favorite store NY&Co/Lerner; yes I still call it Lerner and you know I have a coupon and I earned city cash. All I need now is new boots and I will be set.

Ok, now the weekend was great but WOW am I tired. Jordan is officially 11 but he is acting his age and his shoe size which went up to 11 ½ this weekend. Yes, he is a big boy. He went to go see Zombie land which I am told by him and my sister that it is a very funny flick so if you are looking to jump a few time and laugh your behind off check out this film. It comes highly recommended.
If you are also a Face book friend of mine you already know that my ex-fiancé is married. Yes, I said it he is married. I can believe this because now that I look back on things I think he was in love with marriage not me. He needs to control something and have someone take care of him so I am happy for him. People close to me know that I hate the news of someone getting married especially if they are on there second or third marriage. Ok, now the weekend was great but WOW am I tired. Jordan is officially 11 but he is acting his age and his shoe size which went up to 11 ½ this weekend. Yes, he is a big boy. He went to go see Zombie land which I am told by him and my sister that it is a very funny flick so if you are looking to jump a few time and laugh your behind off check out this film. It comes highly recommended.
If you are also a Face book friend of mine you already know that my ex-fiancé is married. Yes, I said it he is married. I can believe this because now that I look back on things I think he was in love with marriage not me. He needs to control something and have someone take care of him so I am happy for him. I love you but, I need my Space!
Have you ever had some one in your life that you truly loved but you could only love them for some much time then you had to have a break? Well, that is where Totally Tania is right now. When we are together the angels sing, lights are brighter, music is clearer, and I am as happy as dog with a new bone. However if you give me to many days in a roll the claws come out and we are ready to explode like a fire hydrogen on a 90 degree day on the west side of Chicago. I know he wants to tell me to “Get the hell away from me” and I must say too much of anything for me is just a bad thang. So, this is how I plan to remedy our dilemma.
So chime in and tell me how to keep my romance singing instead of stinging.
He is probably reading this laughing because he can’t believe I am put our business in the street but hey you know who you dealing with honey. LMAO! Plus you know it is the truth so this time around and we have had a few times around the block; let’s keep it real because we upgrade each other and that is what it is all about. Rental in the Rain…
Last night my plans to watch (RHOA) were cancelled due to the rain cus ya’ll know I don’t have Bravo channel and I pay almost $100 a month for Comcast; but, I did watch an excellent movie. When you get a chance check out Pride and Glory (2007) on DVD it a cop drama with a lot of violence so this one is not for the kiddies. Don’t worry my sister tape (RHOA) for me.
My movie time will not happen this week because I am celebrating my son’s 11th Birthday YEAH! I am looking forward to catching Couples Retreat which opens next weekend starring Vince Vaugh and Fazon Love this is sure to be funny ass hell so look out for my review on this one.
Olympics…
Chi-Town is just too violent for the Olympics. We are just not ready. Daley sit your ass down and “run this town” like Jay-Z said. Maybe next time.

Netflix vs. Redbox
I love coming home from a hard days work and finding a magazine or even better a Netflix in my mail box. It is like getting a present that you sent to yourself I just love it. However, I also like stopping at the redbox after grocery shopping and going home to watch my movie but that is the kicker. I have to be in a movie mood to get redbox; even though it is only a buck a day it could add up. Let’s say you stop to get your redbox movie then Mr. Right Now calls to take you out or your girls want to go out for a drink or even worse your child has a ton of homework that he/she needs your help to complete. If any of those things happen your buck just turned into two bucks because you are not watching that movie tonight.
On the other hand you are ready to watch the movie that your Netflix queue says will be delivered tonight and guess what it is not in your box. This has happened to me and if my Mom and Sister didn’t work for the post office I would swear the mail person was stealing my movies. So, I ask Netflix or Redbox? In my case both because I love movies that much. However for you average movie goers Redbox is right up your alley. I am charging all of you that are reading this to be like Nike and “Just do it.” Try it once and you will love it. As a matter of fact the next time I get a code for free movies I will post on this blog so be on the look out.

Real Talk
Real Talk I got some scary ass news this morning. I woke up knowing I had a doctor’s appointment and that it was not going to be good but damn when he actually said I had tumors Fibroid tumors I instantly got sad. No biggie is what this fool told me. No biggie my ass. I have something inside my womanly parts that is not supposed to be there and this asshole told me no biggie. Where did he get his bedside manners from HOUSE? I know I will be ok but all I wanted was my mommy when I got the news. So, that is where I went; straight to my mom house and she just talked to me and I felt better. We didn’t talk about the issue we just talked and I love her for that.
Ladies our bodies are at war and the foods we eat and the abuse we do to it is not helping. Go to the doctor if you think something is wrong. I don’t care if you think it is small make them tell you what is wrong. Catch what ever it may be early. My news could have been HIV positive or Cancer and that is something you don’t play with. I didn’t cause this to happen as a matter of fact there is nothing I could have done to prevent it from happening. My lesson from all of this is that my body is truly a temple and going forward I will treat it as such. I am not giving up my fried chicken, fries, or barb-que but I will control other things.
On another note…
Did Winter just sneak up on us? I can’t believe how cold it is outside. Man, this is November weather if you ask me. I spent my cold Monday night watching Hero’s which has way too many character, plots, and twist for me to keep up but it is still a good show and Gossip Girl. Yes my grown ass watch Gossip Girl. I think Blair is my favorite character she is a young Erica Kane rich, beautiful, and pure evil. Due to my news this morning I decided not to cook dinner and just relax with my cover and remote control.

Brown shoes white socks is history for those of you who don’t know what I am talking about it is a man. Am I the only one that names my boyfriends? My sister and I have been doing this for years. The most famous of the names is PONYTAIL stop laughing Very Sherri. After 2 ½ months of dating I finally had to give him the boot. FAME
You want Fame well Fame cost and right here right now is where you start paying in SWEAT! Remember, Remember, Remember. Now re-read that sentence in the voice of Debbie Allen and you got the first line of the movie Fame and the best line from the TV show Fame.
I was so excited when I finally sat down in my seat early Saturday morning with my movie popcorn, sweet tea and chocolate covered peanuts that I snuck into the theatre. Concession cost too much don’t you agree? Any who back to the movie they carefully introduced you to each character as the beginning credits rolled and you got a glimpse of each major player just like the original. It took forever to get juicy just like the original it had about 3 major performance pieces just like the original the only thing missing was Leroy. Where was Leroy? I know he made the TV show famous not the movie but fans wanted to see a Leroy character at least this fan did. I was disappointed in the movie over all but we will see these very talented kids in something else soon.
On TV…
Did you check out the show Brothers on Fox? When I say bogus ass hell I ain’t playing. No, no, no in the words of my sister “This show will not last.” However my son and I have been waiting all summer for “The Cleveland Show.” This is a spin off from Family Guy and you know that show is funny as hell. Can you say Loved it! Yes we did. We got one black show this season that might make it and it is a cartoon. That is a damn shame. LOL.
Yes I talk Sports…
Da Bears! We pulled it off. My son’s football team has a better record. The Lombard Falcons are now 3-0 and Jordan is tackling everything in his path. Go #24 or I call him “The Future” this is another talented kid that you will see more of.
Lastly, I am still bumpin Blue Print 3 and Trey Songz on the Ipod and I am still looking for a new hair style. My look for the Fall will consist of a few blazers, dark denim jeans, a bad as pair of boots with a low heel because I am tall enough and a smile. Smile this week people show them all 32 of your teeth unless you are like me, missing a few. LMAO!

Where were you 11 years ago?
Eleven years ago today I was a pregnant as pregnant can get. It was actually my due date but, the being the movie goer that I am I had to see “Rush Hour” My sister and I had made plans to go if the baby hadn’t arrived by then. I remember her telling me not to laugh so hard because she did not want to be with me when I went into labor. She only 18 at the time and I understood her fear but, still I laughed as hard and loud as I could.
Today eleven years later I plan to see yet another movie this time I am shooting for “Fame” because I want to live for ever. Yes, yes, yes I have been waiting on this movie for months and I hope it doesn’t disappoint because I rented the old one on Netflix and disappointed I was. I must have gotten it mixed up with “Fame” the TV program because Leroy was hardly in it so DO NOT rent the old one in preparation for the new movie you would be wasting your time.

Now let’s talk TV…
I know many of you crowded around the set to watch the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy so tell me all about because I missed it. My damn DVR was still not working but I picked up a new one today so I am back in business. What would I do without DVR (D-I-E) that’s right I would die. However I did catch “The Office” and it was funny get on it people along with RHWOA (Real Housewives of Atlanta) Ne-Ne didn’t fail to deliver because she showed up and showed out on both Kim and Kandi. I love her clothes that chick be sharp as hell every show plus she is rocking the hell out of that hair. Go Ne-Ne!
On that note…
On my lunch break yesterday I was looking for something to ride out to so I popped in my Laura Izibor ( the chick that sings from my heart to yours) CD that I bought months ago and put it on the self after 2 spins in the CD player. It never even made it to the Ipod. However, something came over me and I realized this chick can sing. If you like Alicia Keys and Jill Scott you will love track 1 (Shine) and track 4 (What Would You Do). Check it out and let me know what you think. It is worth a $0.99 download.
Lastly, the weekend is upon us and we all have football games to attend, studying to do, hair appointment to keep, and jobs to work. I want you all to remember to pray before at least one of your meals, tell the Lord thank you, and make sure the first bill you pay is to yourself.
By the way the baby came 1 week and 1 day later. I had my first labor pain eating shrimp fried rice while dancing of course to Blackstreets hit song "No diggity No doubt."

Wow! I hit that snooze button a million times this morning. What is it about getting up to go to work that I hate so much. Don’t get me wrong I am happy to have a job and I need the money but I hate getting up. On the weekends I jump out of bed cooking breakfast watching cartoons or old reruns of the Golden Girls (that is my future) lol. However, Monday-Friday I drag each day. Once I get to work it is show time. I pull myself together and smile while I walk the walk while smiling the entire time; and try my best to assist and encourage everyone in my path which makes me exhausted as hell by noon. Is it the economy? Is it the people I work with? Am I happy? I ask these question often and I am sure you are probably doing the same thang. So what should we do about it? I would love to hear your suggestions. Right now I am going to put on my clothes, pull myself together, plaster a big smile on my face and take my ass to work; because like all of you I need the money.
T.V. Talk
Tonight is the night that my sister and I hang out and watch the NE-NE show aka The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I can’t wait for tonight’s show because Ne-Ne is going to get all up in Candi’s Ass. I don’t know who Candi think she is getting loud with Queen Ne-Ne. I want to be her when I grow up LMAO. Last night I watched a new show on FOX called “Glee” people please check this show out it is funny as hell. Imagine your high school football team performing “All the single ladies” on the field and scoring the wining touchdown while doing so. Exactly you missed it. While I am talking about TV did you notice there are no black shows AGAIN! I still can’t believe they took off “The Game.” I heard about some black show called “Brothers” that is coming on Fox Friday. Yes, I said Friday who in the hell is going to be watching TV. on a Friday night? LMAO because my no plans having ass will probably be watching it but still why Friday night.
Lastly, I am starting my morning with some old school My Life Mary J. Blige and a warm shower. Might even stop at Dunkin Donuts for some coffee I need it today. Today remember to live you life like it is Golden. I know I stole that from Jill Scott. LOL.

Hump Day!
About a month ago I left my phone at home. I didn’t even realize it until I got to work so I panicked no actually I became an electronic crack head searching for my phone like a rock in a Chicago snow storm. It was bad people. At one point I thought I heard my “All the single ladies” ring tone but nope. Then, I thought my radio remote was my phone but once again nope. We all have become junkies of electronic devices. My Dad sends text messages which is perfect for him because he does not care to talk on the phone with you very long. He is also my Friend on face book (I am so addicted) which is crazy to me but I will run with it for now until I have to censor what he can see.
Do you think you could go a week without your computer, blackberry, or cell phone? What if I made the deal sweeter and told you, you could win the $12 million that the lottery is given away. About ½ of you would try but fail miserably including myself because I am the official e-whore (e=electronic) I had to spell it out for the slow people.
If television is even still considered electronics I am in bad shape because I could not stop watching L.L. Cool J last night. His new show debuted and it was pretty good. It is a spin off one of the NCIS shows but it takes place in Los Angeles I could watch that man run all day he is just SEXY. Speaking of sexy I guess Trey Songz thinks he is. Don’t get me wrong his new CD is hot if you take out that silly ass song LOLJ. What I don’t get is him dissing my boy R. Kelly because he is a baby Kelly. He has stolen that mans entire style. Just take a look a the titles to his songs “Panty Droppa” and “I invented sex” those are R. Kelly type titles if ain’t ever heard one before so Trey Songz I love the CD but sit your ass down you owe R. Kelly an apology.
Lastly, be good to yourself today and smile because it is contagious. It’s better than spreading that damn swine flu. If you are sick stay your ass at home.

First Day of Fall
Over the weekend one of my closest friends told be about a co-worker of hers that blogs. Then she mentioned that it would be a good idea for me to start one of my own. Of course I got right on it. In this blog you will not find celebrity news but life advice and Totally Tania’s take on just about everything.
Today is the first day of fall and I want all you reading this post to fall in love with yourself this season. Most of you reading this have to take care of the kids, the house, the bills, the client, the customer but who takes care of you? By the end of this wonderful season you should have an answer to this question. Fall in love with you this Fall.
Things to check out immediately:
The Blue Print 3 by none other then my favorite rapper Jay-Z. You can’t hate on my boy with tracks like “On to the Next One” and “Off That.” He did if for me on this one it is not a classic but he is still in the fight. Where you at Lil Wayne, Gucci, Drake? Jay-Z is doing it for the grown folks.
The new Madea flick is actually not a Madea flick. She is in it but dominating the screen. This film belongs to Taraji P. Henson she did her thang and my girl Mary is just plain old Mary. Check it out and let me know what you think. This leads me to my question of the day. Do you think Tyler Perry parading around in a wig and dress is messing up our young black men? Well, the men in the barber shop think so; Speak on it your opinion is wanted.
Lastly, did you see MY PRESIDENT on Lettermen last night? It was a classic moment; he is the first sitting President to do last night. The man is breaking the mode everywhere. The quote of the night was him making the comment “I was black before I became President.” Do you think people of color are limited to which title they can hold? Look at your teachers, police, and firefighters. I just recently starting seeing firefighters of color how about you?
