(+/-)

I have a picture in my office of 7 books and an old style key. Under the picture are the words Keys to Success: expect more than others think is possible; dream more than others think is practical; risk more than others think is safe.

I love this picture and I read it often. It is my yellow brick road that I follow through out my day. If you know me personally then you know I am as real as real gets and if you don’t want the truth don’t ask me. I am asking all of you that read this post to please comment and let me know what is your yellow brick road that gets you through the day.

Positives vs. Negatives (+/-)

+ I have cable
- I am never home to watch it

+ I have a college degree
- Folks think because I went to college I should know every damn thang. Guess what I don’t. I think I am smart but hell if you fighting a case I can not be your lawyer. I majored in Business Management people.

+ I have a job and I get paid twice a month
- Everything in this world went up except my pay check so I live like I am on welfare. Check to Check people and some of ya’ll are with me. LMAO!

Monday night TV…

As I have told you all I love Gossip Girl. That is my show. Check it out Monday’s on the CW at 8 pm central time. It is getting good because Blair or “The Bitch” is back. Now I want to know how many of ya’ll stayed up or changed your regular 10 o’clock plans to watch The Mo’Nique show. I did and boy was I upset. She was loud as hell. Chick this is not an awards show this a late night talk TV not scream TV. Interview the damn people and keep it moving. Her first guest was Steve “MF” Harvey. If he doesn’t stop pushing that damn book I am going to scream. Act like a Lady think like a Man dude, you need to write a book called “Men raise your children show them some love even if you ain’t got no money.” Know that is some shit I can get behind. She also had my girl Monica on the show hyping up her new reality show that I will be watching October 27 on BET. Monica was looking a little thick and Mo’Nique told her she was glowing. Is this chick pregnant again? I can’t believe I miss the news watching this shit. LOL! I will give her a second viewing because I love Mo’Nique and I wish her the best and much success but, she needs to calm her ass down. She was worst then Jaime Foxx hosting the award show. Just loud for No damn reason.

So that was my evening besides the retail therapy that I got shopping at my favorite store NY&Co/Lerner; yes I still call it Lerner and you know I have a coupon and I earned city cash. All I need now is new boots and I will be set.

  1. You are totally right about Mo'Nique's show. She didn't know weather she wanted to cuss or praise God. She seemed to be so phony. Totally Tania you need to demonstrate how to keep it real. She was obnoxious! I was totally embarrassed. And as for Mr Steve Harvey, these people of other persuasions happen to like his book so now he's the authority! Where in the heck did he get his authority? Half the time he answers the questions and it's empty information, it don't make sense. He makes up stuff as he goes. I love Good Morning America, and Robin is my girl, but they need to quit it with Steve Harvey. Had somebody else written that book we wouldn't know anything about it. If President Obama had written the same exact book, we would be getting a totally different response!

You are totally right about some folk just don't understand the significance of a college degree. You go to college to learn how to learn. Therefore since I have my degree, and you know that, give me a job so that I can learn some more.

You get paid twice a month, and believe you me you feel better than so many others who are on welfare. Don't take that paycheck for granted, right now it's like air...it keeps you going no matter how long it takes you to get there.

My yellow brick road right now is the Bible.
Everything that's happening in my life leads me straight to the Bible. I listen to various leaders, read quotes, but the Bible fulfills every answer to every question that I have. No man, or quote can get me through, take me through, or bring me through like my Bible!
